Electromagnetic waves?

I almost feel stupid asking this, but I can't really find much confirmation on the net, so I have brought my problems to the social hub.

Is it dangerous to sleep with the DS under the pillow? My mother took my DS away claiming that the DS sends out electromagnetic waves and that it is dangerous for such waves to be so close to my head while I sleep due to DS wave poisoning or something. In the past she has also believed that standing too close to the microwave can give you cancer and other problems, but I think thats a myth. When I get my DS back I have been planning to put it back under my pillow where I usually stored it before it was taken, but I don't want to die, or get DS wave poisoning.
Anyway, I doubt this is true, but I am still a little worried.

Anyways, if that's her issue, then you shouldn't have any type of wireless internet, or even electricity in your house. That's a pretty ridiculous idea, and the only way I could see this having ground in reality would be in reference to grabbing Wi-Fi or playing with your DS wirelessly.

Then again, that's just a logic argument. I dunno if it causes cancer or doesn't, but I would hazard a guess that it doesn't.
